  11. Unreal is a new IRC daemon with numerous new features such as channel
  12. modes +h (halfops), +e (exception bans), oper/admin only channels,
  13. strip colour mode, no invites - E:lines (exception K:Lines),
  14. net/techadmin chat, set server description, SetIdent, SetName,
  15. ChgHost, RPING, lag trace, new improved G:Line system, hostname
  16. cloaking, hidden U:lines, new channel mode system, sigsegv handling,
  17. knock on invite only channels, T:Lines, +L channel mode, IRCd agents,
  18. OperMotd, dynamic configuration, total invisible mode,
  19. SAJOIN/SVSJOIN, SAPART/SVSPART, TSCTL and many more.

  23. Installation:

  25. Extract the archive, make an Unreal: assign to the Unreal directory
  26. Rename the ircd file which best suits your processor, to "ircd"
  27.  
  28. Then configure the template.network and unrealircd.conf files in the
  29. networks directory to suit your needs..

  31. If you use AmiTCP, don't bother with the below..
  32.  
  33. Make an ETC: assign to wherever, make a file called resolv.conf
  34. there, and in it put the following (case sensitive):

  36. DOMAIN <isp domain name>
  37. nameserver <isp dns server address>
  38.  
  39. For Example:

  41. DOMAIN iweb.net.au
  42. nameserver 210.8.138.4

  48. Type in a shell/cli window:
